Customer Reviews: Not 2"-6"March 22, 2010 Mr. Wan(y) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
One of the fittings is to measure 2.4" or lower (up until the gauge goes all the way in) and another fitting to measure 2.6" or lower. Well the problem is I bought this to rebuild a Chevy 350, and the main bearings are around 2.5". Neither the 2.4" or the 2.6" would work. the 2.4" was too small, and the 2.6" was not able to read the 2.5" or so I needed it to. I was only able to measure the rod bearings and the cylinder bore with this. In other words, this thing did not do the job I needed it to and is NOT a full 2-6" bore gauge. Apparently, ther are gaps within that range. I plan on calling Fowler soon to address this, because I need something to use to build Chevy small blocks, which is WHY I BOUGHT THIS.
